Music or Lyrics?

I'm a big music person. I like sounds....the amazing harmonies and countermelodies of voices, pianos, anything (except piccolos, unless you're really good).
But lyrics are important too. But most of the time for me, they come after the music. By a tiny margin. Tinytiny. Like if someone has a good voice and crazy instrumentals, but I don't understand one word of what they're saying, I don't give a crap.

I was talking chatting whatever with this weird ginger named OLIVIA and I showed her some awesome non-English people and I realized that language doesn't matter, good music is universal.

You know what's fun? Playing instruments. NYSSMA people, good luck! Sad/happy I won't be joining you guys this year. Remember, BEFRIEND THE JUDGE and GET YOUR SCALES RIGHT, THAT MAKES THEM HAPPY. Also, JUST TRY TO GET THE SIGHTREADING RIGHT. IF YOU THINK YOU DID BAD, SOMEONE ELSE PROBABLY DID WORSE.

Playing instruments is fun, isn't it. Been laboring painfully yet happily over Grieg. That man is a Norwegian beast. Come to a concert May 22 at the Unitarian? I'll be there (so will Andrew, but honestly.)

If you think I need to type more (which I'm horribly bad at), you know what? Hand flip with little twist.

  1. I agree with you about the lyrics thing, but when there are good lyrics that makes a song even more awesome. PLAYING INSTRUMENTS is awesome!! I have NYSSMA today at 3:30. I hope I get a nice judge :) I think NYSSMA is annoying though. Mr. Mizrahi wants me to play part of my solo at our concert...should I do it?

  2. I found a Camille song in English... and it wasn't as good. I think the french makes it better, for her. You know? I was surprised, though, I thought I would like understanding it. But I don't. Did you know that the Ta Deulour or whatever it was means Your Pain? I didn't. I looked it up. And it DOESN'T MATTER! I was so shocked at myself for not caring. Whoooooooo accomplishment.
